August 21 – Officer Installation, Mini Project Open House; Collecting New Blankets for the VA
September 18 – Photography Program; Collecting New Stuffed Animals
September 24 – SPECIAL EVENT: Rabbit Intro, 2-4 p.m. at County Extension Office, led by Don & Amy Mersiovsky. This is for first timers or exhibitors wanting to gain additional information on searching, purchasing, and preparing to exhibit rabbits at the Bell County Youth Fair. Learn what is needed in a rabbit project. Tips on where to get your stock. Learn skills useful in Showmanship and how to prepare different breeds for exhibition. Participants will also gain knowledge on the do’s and don’ts on feeding, cooping, and general management of the rabbit project. Recommend bringing a notebook for taking notes.
October 5 – FALL TRASH PICKUP: 6:00 p.m. at fireworks stand as exiting Belton on Hwy 436 (Alternate rain date is October 12)
October 16 – Trick-or-Treat 4 Canned Goods at 5:30 p.m., Regular Meeting at 7:00 p.m.
November 20 – Make Ornaments and Assemble Goodie Bags for December Caroling event. We will make 36 bags. Bring travel size toiletries or individual wrapped items to contribute to the Bags.
December 16 – SPECIAL MEETING: Rabbit Training; Admission is old blankets or Clorox bleach for Animal Shelter. 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
December 18 – Christmas Caroling at 5:30 p.m. at Montrose Apartments, Regular Meeting at 7:00 followed by Annual Christmas Party (plan to eat at the meeting)!
January 15 – Program will be Dr. Mersiovsky talking about Healthcare Careers. Will pass out BCYF food containers & BBQ tickets.
February 19 – NO GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING THIS MONTH
March 18 – Water Ambassador Program. Collecting donations for Community Gardens.
March 21 – SPRING TRASH PICKUP: 6:00 p.m. at fireworks stand as exiting Belton on Hwy 436 (Alternate rain date is March 28)
March 23 – BAKE SALE at Master Gardener Plant Sale, 7:00 a.m., Bell County Expo.
April 15 – Officer Nominations via paper ballot; State Ambassador Program Open House & Recordbooks
May 20 – Club Officer Elections; Summer Activities Promotion
June ? – End of Year Pool Party, MPR Community Pool
July 15 – NO GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING THIS MONTH
