Meat Judging is a competitive event where you learn to grade and evaluate carcasses and identify retail cuts of beef, pork, and lamb.
We will practice Monday nights at the Bell County Extension Office from 5:30-6:45 pm
September Practices 12th, 19th, and 26th
*An extra Saturday practice on October 29th at the A&M campus. Details to come.
There is an opportunity to attend an invitational contest on November 5th at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Two contest times available: 7:30 am or 1:00 pm We are leaning toward the 1:00 pm start time and staying Saturday night in Lubbock. Registration is already open. It is $20. This contest will not be broken by age divisions. Transportation and lodging will not be provided by 4-H. Notify Leslie Brown at lescbrown@yahoo.com by SEPTEMBER 19TH to register.
