Program: Club Officer Training
Community Service: Blue Jean collection drive for “Blue Jeans Go Green.” The program collects denim (made from cotton) so that it can be recycled back to its natural fiber state and transformed into something new such as insulating material for various applications like building insulation (for Habitat for Humanity), thermal packaging insulation, pet bed inserts and other applications. Any type of denim item – jeans, jackets, shirts, skirts, etc., can be donated. The items can be colored, embellished and/or printed. The denim can also be in any condition – ripped, stained and even scraps.
